Since 1920 Mühldorfer has been manufacturing down comforters and pillows of the highest quality to enable experiencing healthy and restful sleep. The selection of the raw materials and the washing process in lime-free mountain spring water of the Bavarian Forest provide the basis for the unique soft and pure down of the Mühldorfer comfortable bedding. Ecologically grown cotton is processed and gently cultivated for the comforters and pillows. Thus, woven fabrics with an incomparably soft feel and a noble appearance are produced, which comply with the highest environmental standards.
The quantum leap towards becoming a global supplier of exclusive major customers really took off in 1993 with our participation in a hotel trade fair in the United Arab Emirates.

Facts about the company
The Mühldorfer Company was founded in 1920 and has been run by both owners Elisabeth Hintermann and Maximiliana Pangerl since 1987. During this time, the family business developed into a worldwide supplier of down comforters and pillows for the top hotel industry. With approx. 50 employees, Mühldorfer manufactures and distributes for the prime markets in Europe, the Middle East and now also successfully in Asia (among others Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau).
The international percentage of sales currently amounts to 75%. The consumer customer sales are predominantly carried out via the regional subsidiaries in Passau and the outlet store at the headquarters in Haidmühle in the Bavarian Forest.
